andy wiker
When i was going to buy this i was somewhat convinised not to buy it because of the other reviews but i found out it was the best pda yet. now im a family doctor so i need a pda in my office because well i need it. wether it being a slow day and i want to play a couple cards games or needing to find the right answer this helps alot!insteand of serching through my head or my files i just use this. it just makes life easyer. and this is also a good pda for kids. my son can play on it for hours and not get board. and the viewsonic help line is great. when i first got it the usb cradle was a little lose and it took alot longer to charge thean it should so i called them up and i had a person to talk to. they said from time to time this happens and they sent me out a new cradle and a free update. how nice... iv had it for about 9months and not a problem with it yet. it has a nice screen good music sound and a good connection to the internet. im still surpised i got it for just 100 bucks. it could have easly been 3 or 4 hundred. now if your looking for a good and cheap pda i would deffently go with the v35.

I've been trying to keep this ViewSonic running ever since my son gave it to me as a gift. It rarely maintained a charge, was difficult to sync, and needed constant monitoring when not in the charger. Now I'm trying to find a replacement battery and there's little help. Save your ching.

1 out of 5 stars ViewSonic V35 Product PC   December 11, 2005

I disregarded some of the reports (mostly negative)about this product believing that I was getting a great deal on this item from CompUSA. Sure enough, the reports were true. Here's an email to the company sent this morning!
Dear Sir or Madam: I purchased a ViewSonic PDA PC V35 (serial number M0V030801643) a bit over two years ago and have recently had a black line appear across the display about 1/3 of the way down the screen. The line's position does not change when different screens are toggled so it appears that the screen is the problem. I called your technical assistance line and the short answer was "Too bad, you're out of warranty and you're out of luck!" Your tech guy gave me no idea of what the cost would be to have it fixed and implied that I should just dump it and buy a Palm or HP.
I have to say that I'm disappointed that I paid nearly (...)for this product and should treat it as a throwaway. Is this ViewSonic's general attitude. Are your products throwaways and should I look elsewhere for a product I can depend on?

PEOPLE, YOU BUY CHEAP, YOU GET CHEAP!

Granted, I didn't want to spend too much on one of these. I guess I kind of got what I paid for. There is a splotch on the screen that showed up just two months after receiving it. ViewSonic totally ignored me. The battery stinks. The screen freezes so I have to reset the dumb thing. I bought this back in July of 03. I hate it.
