For me, this cable did not work at all. It could never maintain a stable connection, no matter which device was hooked up or which computer it was attached to. This led to a constant loop of "Your device is connected. Your device was disconnected. Your device is connected. Your device was disconnected..."
Also, the female end does not have any protection over it, so it is just exposed metal. Very cheap.
Skip this and buy a quality cable!

Cable is great. No reason to pay the highest prices out there; cables like these work just as well. Very happy with it.

I have an edimax usb 802.11b/g receiver which comes with a short cable. I used this extension to allow me to place the antenna much higher (the corner of my room) for better reception. Definetly works well for this use.

I was pretty surprised to see that the item is General Electric brand when it arrived. Its not a cheap chinese knock off like most of the other cables for sale on amazon and ebay. I mean the title starts with "Ge" but i guess i overlooked it. Nice and long, quality made, looks like its going to give me years and years of use. Would recommend this to anyone who feels their cellphone charging cable is too short (especially iPhone users, thats why i bought mine) or anyone who wishes to have their printer further away from their computer, or just any type of USB extension you could think of.

I bought this extension cable to run from my car stereo to my glovebox. I keep a 4GB flash drive in my glovebox with hours of music and zero hassle. This cable does exactly what I needed it to do...
